TRAVEL INFORMATION HIGHWAY PUBLISHER

This is the home page for the TIH Publisher (TIHP) which is a source of travel information taken from the Road Master Network Database (RNMD)

The TIHP was developed to allow the National Assembly for Wales to contribute information to the Travel Information Highway as part of the Courier project. This project is for the cross border interchange of information since the RNMD also contains travel information sourced from the QMISS database.

The TIHP makes a number of services available to potential VASPs using a CORBA "blocked pull" type of interface. A list of these services can be found by clicking on the Services link in the menu. These services have been defined using UML techniques and are easily configurable on the TIHP should future VASPs require modifications to the existing services or new services.

Access to the TIH services are controlled, and an account will need to be obtained in advance of any services being used. Please contact us for details.

Once you have been allocated a username and password, you can use the VASP Simulator (provided on the Downloads page) to connect to the TIHP. Connection is by an IOR also referenced on the Downloads page.
